I am a desi fashion enthusiast, with a niche in Saree Draping. I find all the fashion moods solution in my desi closet. From last 2 years I have been experimenting with the saree drapes. Now my fusion  drapes have become a part of my daily wearable. 

Being an expat,  I realized that I was leaving behind my centuries old garment, the saree, and getting influenced by the western wear. Whereas westerners were embracing the indian fashion in various forms. That realization made me wear my desi couture for all occasions. I did not want my desi ensemble to become  a festive or a fancy dress wear. 

I wear desi kurta as a dress, make my saree as gown and have very confidently worn my desi attitude on all walks of my life. I  wear saree from grocery shopping, to a red carpet event, as I am desi by choice and not by compulsion.

I have been a Miss India finalist, and have walked the ramp with the likes of Shushmita Sen and Aishwarya Rai. Inspite on being in glamorous line, I wanted the power of the corporate world. After enjoying a small stint in modelling, I started my corporate life and then followed my family life. Having reached the top of the pyramid, I took a sabbatical to be with my growing up teenagers. And during this time desi bug stung me and my journey of desibychoice started.
