Adversity has been my motivation for excellence.  Identifying as black male in the United States, the acribed status can determine an individual's trajectory of adversity from birth.  From the treatment one may receive at the hospital, through their childhood education, and throughout their career.  These lived experiences can create some traumatic events.  However, I am on a journey of finding the light and purpose to continue developing a greater character of self. 

As a product of a single-matrilineal led household, I have much admiration for women.  While I am ascribed Black, woman have one strike against them at birth; simply due to their sex.  Black women have two strikes against them.  With that understanding, I learned to empathize greatly of my mother's challenges raising children alone.  This experience was part of my fuel.  In 2009, I signed up for the U.S. military.  Not for the war, but for the opportunity of debt free education.  The women in my life has strengthen my character to endure those challenges.

After my five-year tour, I ended my contract as an honorable combat veteran.  I earned my BA in Human Relations with an AA in Sociology in 2018, at Trinity University, Washington D.C.  I began fashion modeling in July 2020.  I have been featured in few editorials/editorial covers such as Roidx, Top Posters, Off Town, and Mob Journal.  DCFW runway show has been my second fashion show since August.  Additionally, I am in a graduate program for Clinical Mental Health Counseling, while working full time as claims specialist in the federal government. 
 

Thoughout all the adversity, I am still aspiring to be the best version of myself.  My hope is to inspire others on their own journey.
