The 13th Zagreb Design Week took place from September 8–20, 2026, expanding for the first time to a two-week format under the theme "Friction" (Trenje). The festival opened with a week-long programme across 30 partner locations throughout Zagreb—galleries, studios, showrooms, and museums—before moving to its main venue, the renovated Academy of Fine Arts (ALU) on Ilica 85, from September 15–20
