Vancouver Fashion Week 2026
Since its inception in 2001, Vancouver Fashion Week has been dedicated to fostering the success of both established designers and award-winning emerging talent through a global perspective and a deeply multicultural approach. Founded by entrepreneur Jamal Abdourahman, the event was initially branded as "International Fashion Week" for its first season. Deeply passionate about both the fashion industry and his hometown, Jamal made it his mission to travel to fashion capitals, connect with industry leaders, and keep Vancouver on the fashion world's radar. Built from the ground up by the industry, Vancouver Fashion Week has grown into a celebrated fixture in the Canadian fashion community. Embracing diversity as its greatest strength, it is now the second-largest fashion week in North America and continues to expand as the fastest-growing fashion week in the world. The organization remains committed to offering designers not only a platform for their craft but also ongoing opportunities for commerce and growth. In 2017, Vancouver Fashion Week launched the Global Fashion Collective (GFC) to further amplify the international exposure of its most promising designers. Through GFC, the organization now produces shows at New York Fashion Week, Tokyo Fashion Week, and Paris Fashion Week.
