Costa Rica Fashion Week

As the longest-running fashion event in Costa Rica and Central America, International Fashion Week of Costa Rica continues to reinvent itself. “I’m aware of the shift needed in Costa Rican fashion—to elevate talent and establish a strong international presence, while building a solid industry that generates employment, income, and exports for the country,” says Karina Díaz, designer and director of the event. “That’s why my team and I are working to showcase national talent on digital platforms, connecting designers with top experts from across Latin America.” The organization has also integrated an educational component through alliances with Istituto Marangoni, the Latin American Fashion Summit (LAFS), and Costa Rica’s National Learning Institute (INA).
