How makeup Art made the difference in TV Series

 It's no secret TV actors transform into character. Both in mind and body, they forget themselves. Some more than others. Interestingly, some of the greatest TV performances have come from actors who are basically unrecognizable in costume. It certainly must help a performance to look like someone else completely. 

 
We've collected some our favorite costumed performances over the years. And we were specifically looking for actors who went to extremes for their characters. These are the TV stars who look way different out of costume.
 

Emma Corrin


Emma Corrin is a bit more sleek and modern-looking than the famous royal she portrays on The Crown. Corrin won a Golden Globe for her role as the late Princess Diana on Season 4 of the acclaimed Netflix series.
 
Alycia Debnam-Carey
 

Alycia Debnam-Carey is quite glamorous on the red carpet, but she's anything but on TV. She's feral as Lexa on The 100, and she doesn't catch any breaks as Alicia Clark on Fear the Walking Dead, either. The Aussie actor's roles are all pretty hardcore. She's not the rom-com type.
