The event was jointly organized by the permanent delegations of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, India, Iran, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Pakistan, Tajikistan, and Türkiye to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.
The celebration brought together delegations from UNESCO member states and served as a vibrant platform for cultural exchange, offering an opportunity to promote the national traditions of Nowruz-observing countries.
Inscribed on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2009, Nowruz is commemorated annually at the organization’s headquarters with the participation of international delegations.
