DÉGAGÉ CHIC: UNVEILING THE MICHAEL KORS FALL/WINTER 2025 RUNWAY SHOW

Dégagé chic was the theme of Michael Kors’ Fall/Winter 2025 runway show, which took place this morning at Terminal Warehouse—the former location of the iconic 1990s Tunnel Nightclub—in Chelsea, New York City. The space was transformed into a sleek, welcoming residential space with mid-century furniture, exposed brick and wood paneling, Japanese lanterns, end tables and home décor reminiscent of a downtown New York loft.

“This show was inspired by the laid-back elegance that imbues the spirit of our homes and our new Michael Kors Collection store on Madison Avenue,” says designer Michael Kors. “Timeless, warm, modern, architectural yet sensual, I wanted the collection to exemplify cozy modernism and hands in the pockets chic.”

For Fall/Winter, Kors embraced the relaxed glamour that characterizes this mood with the softly tailored menswear coats and jackets shown over pleated skirts and trousers alike, while whisper-light layering added movement to soft dresses, liquid silk overshirts and draped blouses. Textural shearlings added warmth to the season, emphasized by cozy blanket and pajama dressing and neoclassic knitwear for the ultimate autumnal ensemble. Rich tones of chocolate, caramel, bottle and aubergine countered urban greys and the timeless appeal of black and white, punctuated by dusty shades of iris and celadon. On the footwear front, it was all about the boot, from ankle boots to riding boots with architectural heels. Streamlined travel-inspired bags—bowling bags, satchels and oversized clutches—brought the finishing touches to the collection.

A custom soundtrack crafted by composer Sebastien Perrin leaned into the cool, sophisticated British music moment of the ‘80s and ‘90s as models including Liisa Winkler, Georgina Grenville, Malgosia Bela, Paloma Elsesser, Angelina Kendall, Lina Zhang, Jessica Miller, Amelia Gray Hamlin, Mona Tougaard, Alex Consani and more walked the runway.

Uma Thurman, Kerry Washington, Nicole Scherzinger, Rachel Brosnahan, Rose Byrne, Rachel Zegler, Suki Waterhouse, Lea Michele and others were among the A-list front row.

The live show experience premiered on the brand’s social and digital channels, including MichaelKors-Collection.com, which serves as the hub for all Fall/Winter 2025 Michael Kors Collection content. The programming was also available to the brand’s international audience across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and X.
