Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy of Vietnam was crowned Miss International 2024 on Tuesday, November 12, at Tokyo Dome City Hall in Japan.
The 22-year-old from Da Nang made history as the first Vietnamese woman to win the prestigious title. She succeeds Andrea Rubio from Venezuela, the 2023 winner.
Camila Roca of Bolivia was named first runner-up, followed by Alba Pérez of Spain as second runner-up, Sakra Guerrero of Venezuela as third runner-up, and Sophie Kirana of Indonesia as fourth runner-up.
The Top 8 finalists also included Alina Dementjeva of the Czech Republic, Samantha Poole of New Zealand, and Ewa Jakubiec of Poland.
Rounding out the Top 20 were contestants from Australia (Selina McCloskey), Cape Verde (Akysanna Veiga), Cuba (Shelbi Byrnes Garcia), the Dominican Republic (Miyuki Cruz), Honduras (April Tobie), Ireland (Hannah-Kathleen Hawkshaw), Japan (Mei Ueda), Mongolia (Bayaraa Suvd-erdene), Nigeria (Perpetual Ukadike), South Africa (Belindé Schreuder), South Sudan (Amylia Deng), and Taiwan (Oceana Lin-Kurie).
Special awards included continental titles for Cape Verde, Cuba, Japan, and Ireland. Meanwhile, Honduras won Miss Fitness, Mexico was named Miss Photogenic, Peru secured Best in Evening Gown, and New Zealand took home Best in National Costume.
The 62nd edition of the Miss International pageant saw 71 contestants from around the world vying for the coveted crown.
