Shereen Ahmed has been crowned Miss Universe Bahrain 2024 and will represent her country at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant in Mexico this November. The 29-year-old Bahraini-Filipino beauty succeeds last year’s titleholder, Lujane Yacoub, and is the fourth woman to represent Bahrain in the global competition.
Advaita Shetty, Ola Adel, and Jehan Alrowaie were named first, second, and third runners-up, respectively.
Born to a Bahraini father and a Filipino mother, Shereen is a TV presenter, content creator, poet, and writer. She previously competed in Miss Universe Bahrain 2022, finishing as second runner-up. Age restrictions initially prevented her from competing again, but the Miss Universe Organization’s recent rule change allowed her another opportunity.
"When I heard about the removal of the age limit and Miss Universe Bahrain auditions, everything felt aligned. It was a moment of clarity—a chance to pursue my true self," she shared online.
"This journey has been about breaking free from limiting beliefs, stepping out of my comfort zone, and letting my inner strength shine through," she continued.
Shereen also expressed her pride in advocating for the region, single mothers, and mental health awareness, while representing Bahrain and showcasing the essence of its people on the global stage.
