Luana Cavalcante Crowned Miss Universe Brazil 2024

Pernambuco’s Luana Cavalcante was crowned Miss Universe Brazil 2024 during the national competition held on Thursday, September 19, at Teatro Gamaro in São Paulo.

 
The 25-year-old model and actress will represent Brazil at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant in Mexico this November.
 
Gabriele Marinho from Alagoas and Maria Fabiana Mata from Rio de Janeiro were named first and second runners-up, respectively.
 
Eduarda Dallagnol (Rio Grande do Sul), Tatiana Gonçalves (Minas Gerais), Taynara Gargantini (Paraná), and Letícia Galvão (Espírito Santo) rounded out the Top 7 finalists.
 
The reigning Miss Universe from Nicaragua, Sheynnis Palacios, crowned the new Miss Universe Brazil, while Julia Gama, Miss Universe 2020 first runner-up, presented Luana with her official sash.
 
“There are no words to describe the emotion of being the first Pernambucana and mother to become Miss Universe Brazil,” Luana shared online.
 
“With a solid career as an actress, model, and mother of my greatest joy, Pedro, I’ve just accomplished what once seemed nearly impossible—making history for my beloved Pernambuco," she added.
