Deck The Runway 2023 presented by Fancy By Francesca Watson LLC returns for the 5th year annual fashion showcase took place at the beautiful Hilton Resort in Orlando and was hosted by the iconic QUEEN of reality television Tiffany New York Pollard. The 2023 Event marked 5 years in business for the Deck The Runway production and the event was surley a night to remember. The Fashion event started off with rolling out the red carpet with celebrity fashion stylist Andre Hammonds as Deck The Runway’s official 2023 red carpet media correspondent. The event also presented 5 collections from emerging designers Fancy By Francesca Watson (Atlanta, GA),  House of the Living Dolls by Jessica Lopez (Atlanta, GA),  Lainy Gold Designs (Tampa, FL), DUHH By Designer J (Orlando, FL) , and Niiash Fashion By Randy Nunoo (Orlando, FL.)

Fancy By Francesca Watson’s collection was a holiday theme. Her pieces stunned with variations of reds, golds, greens and pops of silver. Known as the Sexy dress queen with a love of bling her pieces did not disappoint with fully beaded gowns, rhinestones, and sparkling garments.

The Queen of Reality television, Tiffany New York Pollard wore a stunning fully beaded Gold Fancy By Francesca watson Gown with stunning neckline bling. She paired her look with beautiful Balenciaga accessories.  

 

The House of the living dolls by Jessica Lopez made her come back this year with cute pieces for teens and young women. We adored her gorgeous luminous holiday party dresses, flirty skirts and adorable crop tops.  

 

Lainy Gold Designs showcased her reworked vintage collection titled “Trixie NO. 2064 ”  which was inspired by her neighbors wife Trixie. Her Neighbor offered her the gowns which were stored in a trunk since 1960. Lainy Gold’s reworked gowns and lingerie pieces were a stunning hit. Each design going down the runway was more beautiful than the last.  

 

 

DUHHHH By Designer J’s collection was breathtaking and Innovative. He collection consisted of sparkling gowns, bodys suits, hoody’s, fashion masks you name it! We’d have to agree with our iconic host Tiffany Pollard that this collection had something for every mood. We specifically loved her light pink romper with sequin accent and the train, as it is a must have in your closet. 

NIIASH Fashion By Randy Nunoo showcased beautiful African looks with prints to die for. We love his unique fashions with Ghana Flavor and his tailored African suits were my absolute favorite of his collection. Randy was the only designer that showcased fashions for both men and women this year and we were extremely impressed with his looks. 

 

 

In addition to fashions the event featured a live performance in dance this year with Orlando’s own Divaz of Pynk Sapphyre- a local majorette dance team in the city of Orlando. The girls danced their hearts out to various Christmas songs and more.  

 

The event also featured a live catwalk walk off between Deck The Runway’s two model of the year finalists Samantha Rollins and Asia Jackson. Although both models are extremely talented and obviously gorgeous- the winner was crowned Samantha Rollins by the iconic queen of reality television Tiffany Pollard. With comparisons by the host made between Samantha Rollins and Naomi Campbell and Christy Turlington- Samantha’s natural ability to dominate runways is a gift. Deck The Runway is proud to have had Samantha Rollins modeling in the productions for the last 4 years and we are estatic and proud to name her The winner of Deck The Runway 2023’s model of the year.
