The Latest in Fashion

Location: Taraz, Kazakhstan, the exhibition pavilion "Shakhristan" ethno-cultural complex "KÓ©ne Taraz".

The entire history of humanity is a dialogue of cultures that permeates all of our lives. It is essentially a condition for mutual understanding between people. Interaction of cultures, their dialogue is the most favorable basis for the development of inter-ethnic, inter-ethnic relations. This is the interaction between bearers of different values, in which the best values become the property of representatives of another culture.  Thanks to the dialogue of cultures there is an interpenetration and mutual enrichment of cultures themselves, a spiritual rapprochement of large cultural regions. For this purpose, developed countries hold international events in the sphere of culture, crafts and fashion.

One of the famous fashion events is the international project "ASPARA FASHION WEEK". The project was created by one of the world's most authoritative fashion designers, Aidarkhan Kaliev, at the beginning of 2017. Thanks to his activities, for the first time in Kazakhstan, international fashion shows with the participation of not only Kazakh and Central Asian designers, but also specialists from almost all over the world, were organized and continue to be held.  ASPARA FASHION WEEK - the world's first official fashion week, which did not stop working even during the two-year pandemic, continued to function online.

From May 4 to 7 the XI season of ASPARA FASHION WEEK under the motto "DIALOGUE OF CULTURES" will be held in Taraz. For the past 10 seasons ASPARA FASHION WEEK has become popular not only in Kazakhstan and Central Asia, but also around the world. ASPARA FASHION WEEK has partnerships with more than 20 major fashion weeks in the world. ASPARA FASHION WEEK is proud and appreciates the partnership with SERBIA FASHION WEEK, MAD MOOD FASHION WEEK MILANO, AFWEU FASHION WEEKS, DIVERSITY FASHION WEEK, CZECHIA FASHION WEEK, ASEAN INTERNATIONAL FASHION WEEK, TENUN FASHION WEEK, EURASIA FASHION WEEK, FASHION WEEK BULGARIA, BRIDAL FASHION WEEK, GLORIA FASHION WEEK, STOCKHOLM INTERNOTIONAL FASHION FAIR, ETHNOPODIUM RUSSIA, TAJIKISTAN FASHION WEEK, SILK ROAD FASHION LONDON, ISTANBUL FASHION WEEK, MARBELLA FASHION WEEK, TRANSILVANIA FASHION FESTIVAL, FASHIONHALL-FASHION WEEK BERLIN.

A large number of visits to the shows by foreign and Kazakh specialists from the fashion world.

The new season of ASPARA FASHION WEEK will continue to breathe the second life into this dialogue of culture, in which there will be a comparison and the second breath to the Great Silk Road on the Kazakhstan section, and the fashion and cultures of different countries, peoples and continents will come together again. The purpose of holding the 10th season of ASPARA FASHION WEEK is to create an atmosphere of national values and to develop an understanding that one's own ethno-cultural coexistence is impossible without respect and care for the values of other peoples.

Every culture lives only in interest in another culture, great cultural phenomena are born only in the dialogue of different cultures, only at the point of their intersection. The ability of one culture to assimilate the achievements of another is one of the sources of its vitality. "Alien culture only in the eyes of another culture reveals itself more fully and deeply. One meaning reveals its depths by meeting and coming into contact with another, alien meaning.   When two cultures meet, they do not merge and do not mix, but they are mutually enriched. This was the main reason for choosing the motto for the international project of the 11th season of ASPARA FASHION WEEK.

XI season of ASPARA FASHION WEEK, as well as the previous one, also continues to glorify the ancient Taraz, the revival of the national spirit, patriotism, dignity and honor.
One of the highlights of the program of the previous season was the project "QAZAQ ANALARY". Twelve designers from the regions of the republic took part in its creation. Their task was to create an image of a woman-mother, a keeper of the hearth. A mother, who has accepted all the hardships of fate with dignity. Mother, multiplying a healthy generation of Kazakhstan.

Uniqueness of the project was that members of the Center of Active Recreation of pensioners demonstrated their clothes. The oldest model of the project was born in 1947. Foreign fashion experts and spectators of the show were touched by resignation, nobility and dignity of Kazakh woman. Another feature of the 10th season was a collabration of designers from different regions of Kazakhstan called "QAZAQ MEN". The collection of men's clothing in the neo-folklore style was created to demonstrate the masculinity, brutality, and distinctive national identity of the masters of the Great Steppe.

The logical continuation of this project in the XI season will be a collabration of designers from different regions of Kazakhstan under the name "Qazaktyn kelinderi". A collection of women's clothing in the neo-folklore style is created to demonstrate the femininity, tenderness, wisdom and original national identity of the beauties of the Great Steppe.
